Sons of Sousa

Welcome to the Sons of Sousa website, where you’re going to be transported back to a time when the attributions of pomp and circumstance were often blended together with a tone of military and patriotic marches, thereby creating a very unique and distinctive musical sound, one which is often attributed to America’s very own March King, John Philip Sousa (1854-1932).

And who would be best chosen to emulate this great man, this composer, arranger and conductor, than the Sons of Sousa who have put together a collection of 150 unique compositions as their humble tribute to Sousa, all in keeping with the recognition of our nation’s semiquincentennial celebration, which is of course, its 250th birthday.

Countless hours of composing, arranging and recording went into the project in preparation for the momentous event, and now it all comes to fruition.

Toward that end, Hungry Hill Music and the Sons of Sousa are happily making available a comprehensive, 5-Volume set of recordings, with 30 unique songs per volume, each emulating the musical greatness of the band’s namesake, with sounds that are destined to be enjoyed by all, as America celebrates its semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026.
